The company headed by a relative of Konjoryan generated no profit, losses grew by 163%, and funds from Ernekyan’s business were spent. Under their management, profit stood at zero. This was stated by Narek Karapetyan, head of the “Strong Armenia” faction, ahead of the vote on Konjoryan’s candidacy for deputy speaker of parliament.

The MP stressed that there are serious and well-founded reasons to oppose Hayk Konjoryan’s candidacy for deputy speaker of Armenia’s National Assembly.

According to Narek Karapetyan, there is a clear risk of undermining parliamentary oversight and a conflict of interest, since it is the National Assembly that, through the ministry, is meant to oversee the activities of this state enterprise.
