“If you weren’t confident in yourself, why did you come and deceive the people?”: a Masis resident addresses Pashinyan

Residents of Masis, speaking in a street poll, commented on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement that if citizens are poor, it is their own problem.

“Who is responsible for the family when a child is hungry? The man of the house, right? You are responsible for a larger family – the people. If you weren’t confident in yourself, why did you come, why did you deceive the people?” said one of the poll participants, addressing Pashinyan directly.

According to participants, the people themselves are to blame for bringing Pashinyan to power and allowing him to keep lying to them.

“We have not heard a single truthful word from him. Today he says one thing, tomorrow another,” one Masis resident stressed.
