Investigative Committee seeks two-month detention for Gagik Tsarukyan

A hearing on the measure of restraint against Gagik Tsarukyan, leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, is underway at the court of general jurisdiction for the Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts.

According to Kima Avdalyan, spokesperson for the Investigative Committee of Armenia, the Investigative Committee has requested his detention for a period of two months.

Tsarukyan is accused of fraud and money laundering on an especially large scale.
