Iranian journalist Khayal Muazzin spoke to Alpha News about the current situation in Tehran amidst Israel’s military operation against Iran. According to the expert, Iran’s air defense, army, and special services are operating at a professional level.

“The situation in Tehran is very calm now, people are living their lives, everything is going on as usual, shops, restaurants, government agencies—everything is working as usual, people go out into the streets in the evenings, support the government and the armed forces. Iran may soon announce that it has nuclear weapons. As for the military situation, the air defense, the army, and the special services are working at a professional level,” Muazzin said.

According to the expert, Netanyahu needed to distract the people, and that is why he launched the operation against Iran.

“We see that the internal crisis in Israel is growing every day and Netanyahu’s future career is at a catastrophic level. He was unable to continue the war with Hamas, he was unable to free his hostages, and to save his political career, he needs to distract the people. That is why he took this reckless step. Of course, this will turn into a disaster for him. We see the current state of Tel Aviv, people are fleeing, even their official media write that an order was given not to allow Israelis to fly out of the country, they are afraid that most Israelis will leave the region,” Muazzin noted.

According to the expert, the West’s statements regarding this conflict are hypocritical, since they are complicit in the attack on Iran.

Touching upon the so-called “Zangezur corridor,” the expert noted that Iran has never opposed its creation, as long as Iranian and Armenian interests are taken into account.

“We will not allow the political map to change. The outcome of this issue depends on Iran’s victory. If Iran wins this conflict, many unresolved issues will be addressed. Therefore, we must wish for Iran to emerge victorious from this conflict,” Muazzin concluded.
