Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov made a confident start at the US Open, securing a victory over an American opponent in the first round of the tournament.

The match ended with a score of 6–7, 6–3, 7–5, 6–1 in favor of Khachanov, who demonstrated consistent play and managed to turn the match around after losing the first set.

In the second round, Khachanov will face Poland’s Kamil Majchrzak, World No. 76.
