During an Alpha News poll, one of the produce sellers noted that prices for fruits and vegetables are quite high this year. Heavy hail fell in the Ashtarak area, damaging the harvest. In addition, there was no pollination in many regions, and there was almost no apricot harvest.

According to her, goods on the market vary both in price and quality, and to meet customers’ needs, sellers are often forced to purchase more expensive but higher-quality produce.

“There are resellers on the market who buy goods at more affordable prices. But we purchase quality produce at a higher price in order to offer customers good goods. There are both affordable and expensive, both high-quality and low-quality goods on the market, but we don’t always manage to sell them all. For example, we sort the apricots, and we’re forced to sell the rest at significantly lower prices,” the Alpha News source said.
