In the conversation with Manouk Akopyan, Tyson reflected on his connection to the late Kirk Kerkorian, the Armenian-American billionaire who once owned MGM Resorts, and shared one of his favorite memories of him:
“Kirk Kerkorian was my guy. I once got into some trouble, I attacked a guy. I could have been arrested. But Kirk sent his plane for me so I wouldn’t get arrested, and I flew out. The plane was huge, the size of two houses. He sent the plane for me and my family, for my daughter, she’s 17 now, but back then she was only a couple months old. I also want to say about Kerkorian that he helped a lot of people in Armenia. Like me, he never let anyone mess with him either,” Tyson noted.
Akopyan noted that Kerkorian, nicknamed “Rifle Right,” was devoted fan of the sport, though he largely avoided the spotlight and stayed away from cameras.
