Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, said in a speech at the 7th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Baku that the OSCE Minsk Group, created in 1992, was “imitative in nature,” Azerbaijani media reported.

“The current prime minister of Armenia declared at that time, in occupied Karabakh, that ‘Karabakh is Armenia, period.’ The so-called international community turned a blind eye to all these outrages. No one condemned Armenia. The UN Security Council did not insist on the implementation of the resolutions it had adopted. The European Parliament and the Council of Europe constantly targeted Azerbaijan, which was the victim of ongoing aggression, and encouraged the aggressor, Armenia,” he added.
