Prices have dropped sharply, and there are no sales. This is what one saleswoman told Alpha News at the “Meymandar” agricultural market in the Ararat region.

According to her, goods are brought to the market just to earn even a little money, but nothing is selling.

“We want to throw everything out and leave. Before, at least we exported to Russia. I’ve been sitting at the market since two in the morning, I’m 70 years old, and I already want to leave everything and go home,” she said with regret.

According to her, this problem affects almost all agricultural crops, and producers suffer the most because of export difficulties.

“There are no proper ties between the states, they just quarrel, and in the end it’s the farmer who suffers. We’re buried in loans: we spend so much money on spraying, seeds, sowing, and processing, but we come to the market and go home with nothing to show for it,” she noted.
