Pashinyan’s interests have nothing to do with the interests of the Armenian people: Robert Kocharyan

Armenia and the Armenian people possess a resource of dignity, but Pashinyan, together with his group, is trying to convince the public that this resource does not exist. This was stated by Robert Kocharyan, second president of Armenia, in the seventh episode of the Big Politics podcast. According to Kocharyan, it is beneficial for Pashinyan to keep society in a constant atmosphere of fear.
“He will do everything to ensure that Armenians feel this sense of fear, because otherwise he has no chance of being elected. The most persuasive factor is fear, and politicians from time to time sell fear to society for their narrow personal or party interests. This directly contradicts state and national interests, but at times brilliantly serves the personal interests of a particular leader or political force,” Kocharyan emphasized.
In his view, all of this means that the interests of Pashinyan and the Civil Contract party have nothing in common with the interests of the Republic of Armenia and the Armenian people.
