The people of Artsakh are protesting outside the government building. They are demanding that the Armenian government protect their rights.

“If the Republic of Armenia is unable to fulfill the provisions of the refugee law—where it clearly states we should be provided with housing and food—then they should contact the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and offer to hand over, say, 30,000 applications. And if they can’t handle that, let the UN take care of the rest. The Armenian authorities, under Pashinyan’s leadership, are obligated to care for the people of Artsakh; otherwise, they are violating the law,” former Artsakh MP Ashot Sargsyan told Alpha News.

He also called Pashinyan’s proposal that Artsakh people acquire Armenian citizenship unacceptable, arguing that doing so would cause them to lose property rights and their ability to claim the right of return.

“The policy that the Armenian authorities, led by Pashinyan, are pursuing is treacherous—and they must face criminal accountability,” Sargsyan said.
