Political persecution and personal revenge: Agnesa Khamoyan on the detention of Robert Kocharyan

This was stated by Agnesa Khamoyan, a deputy from the “Armenia” faction, in the National Assembly, speaking about the detention of Robert Kocharyan, Armenia’s second president, and the events that preceded it.

“At one time, at least, fiery letters were written, and harsh processes unfolded; now, there are no formalities anymore. Direct instructions are being given to law enforcement and security agencies directly from this podium, live on air. Political persecution and personal revenge: these are the two phrases that characterize what is happening,” the deputy emphasized.
