Political terror is being carried out against Robert Kocharyan: Anna Grigoryan

Large-scale political terror is being carried out against Robert Kocharyan, the second president, and members of his family. This was stated by Anna Grigoryan, head of the “Armenia” faction, in the National Assembly.

“Mr. Miqayelyan, you spoke about the events of October 27. Perhaps you are not aware, but let me say: President Kocharyan is currently not arrested for the events of October 27. You’ve come and are constructing a narrative about the tragic events that took place in our country. People who have been in power for 8 years should not be asking questions, but should be answering them,” Grigoryan noted.

The deputy recalled that after the 1999 tragedy, it was at Robert Kocharyan’s suggestion that Vazgen Sargsyan’s brother, Aram Sargsyan, was appointed prime minister, and responsible positions in the investigative and law enforcement bodies were taken by people who were directly interested in fully solving the case.

“For many years, our dark, black pages of history and tragedy have, unfortunately, been merely a pretext for speculation, rather than a means of making real revelations or punishing the true culprits. This was done solely to gain political dividends,” the opposition deputy emphasized.
