“Crossroads of Peace,” Iran’s reaction, and regional developments: key topics of the latest Alpha News Persian episode

Expanding its presence on international media platforms, Alpha News presents a new episode of its Persian-language newscast, Alpha News Persian.

One of the central topics of the program was developments surrounding the “Crossroads of Peace” project (TRIPP) and efforts to address existing concerns in the context of Armenian-Iranian relations. The broadcast featured a detailed analysis of new regional realities and the reactions of geopolitical centers.

The program addressed a statement by Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Armenia, according to which the “Crossroads of Peace” project will significantly expand Armenian-Iranian ties and serve as the basis for a Persian Gulf-Black Sea railway corridor. The prime minister stressed that Yerevan is ready for transparent dialogue to answer all of Tehran’s questions.

Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel, former speaker of the Iranian parliament, urged Yerevan not to be deceived by U.S. promises and to remain wary of Western presence. He emphasized the importance of preserving the shared overland route, which will provide Iran with access to the Black Sea once the “North-South” project is completed.

Jafar Hashen, director of the Institute of Caucasus Studies, presented a notable analysis of the ongoing transformation of identity in Armenia, where national-historical components (the Armenian Genocide, Artsakh) are gradually being transformed into a focus on everyday well-being.

As a practical step toward cooperation, Pars Air announced the launch of direct flights between Shiraz and Yerevan, which will help boost tourism and strengthen economic ties with the southern regions of Iran.
