Relations with Turkey can be improved, but it must apologize — The People Speak

As part of “The People Speak” project, Alpha News conducted surveys in Yerevan and Armenian-populated communities in the United States and Russia to gauge citizens’ opinions on the most significant issues of recent years.
“Relations with Turkey can be improved, but we are obliged to promote the issue of recognition of the Armenian Genocide in the world, and Turkey must apologize,” one citizen said.
According to another citizen, there can be no friendship with the enemy.
“I believe diplomatic relations with Turkey can be established,” said one participant in the Alpha News survey.
“The current Armenian government is solely promoting a Turkish agenda. If they were defending the interests of Armenia, the Armenians of Artsakh would not have been subjected to forced displacement. No previous government has ever said the phrase ‘Artsakh is part of Azerbaijan, and that’s it’. If the Armenians were subjected to Genocide in Artsakh, how can we make peace? This is a false agenda,” another respondent added.
