We lived safely for 30 years, now we are constantly waiting for bad news — The People Speak

As part of “The People Speak” project, Alpha News conducted surveys in Yerevan and Armenian-populated communities in the United States and Russia to gather citizens’ opinions on the most important issues of recent years.

“Armenia made two mistakes: first, it did not recognize Artsakh, and second, it distanced itself from Russia. For example, look at Belarus, which firmly clings to Russia. Can anyone say anything to Belarus? Neither the European Union nor the United States will ever defend Armenia,” said one of the participants in the Alpha News survey.

“Look at the Turkish leader’s relations with the US and Russia. I do not share the opinion of our leadership. We need to do what is good for our children. They say we need to delimit the borders, there is nothing wrong with that, but we cannot just freeze relations with Russia,” another citizen emphasized.

“We lived in safety for over 30 years, falling asleep peacefully and confidently. And now it feels like we are constantly waiting for some bad news,” added another respondent.
