Radio France Internationale launches Armenian-language media outlet

Radio France Internationale (RFI), the French international public radio broadcaster, has launched an Armenian-language online media outlet, making it the 18th language service of one of the world’s leading international radio broadcasters.

The newsroom, operating in Paris and Yerevan, will produce content in Eastern Armenian, primarily targeting younger audiences through Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.

A team of eight journalists, including Astrig Hagopian and Talin Unjian, will cover news and make the fight against disinformation one of the service’s key priorities.
