There are still no legal answers to the question of why the second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, is in custody, which suggests that this case was built on lies from the very beginning. This was stated at a press conference by Bagrat Mikoyan, the head of the office of the second President of Armenia.
“When you try to understand what happened, you ask yourself two questions: what and when? And now, answering both questions live, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan lied. He stated that in April, a case was opened against Robert Kocharyan, he was charged and ordered not to leave.
Let me remind you that in June, the president’s departure from the country was illegally closed. The office published information in advance that the president would leave the country. Before leaving, he was constantly accompanied by NSS officers, who were required to report all his movements to his superiors.
The man announced his departure in advance, went through all the necessary procedures at the airport for about an hour, and now they declare that they “decided to escape.” You have to be insane to believe it, and making it up is the height of madness,” Mikoyan said.
