Sergey Dankvert, Head of Rosselkhoznadzor, said in an appearance on Vesti that the agency is recording problems with supplies from Armenia not only regarding flowers, but also vegetables and fruits.

According to him, the Russian side is registering violations in the supply of Armenian produce.

“The issue is that we have problems not only with flowers, we also have issues with vegetables and fruits,” Dankvert said.

Earlier, Rosselkhoznadzor announced that starting May 22 it would temporarily restrict the import of flowers from Armenia pending an inspection of greenhouse facilities and analysis of its results. The agency attributed this to the ongoing detection of quarantine organisms in shipments of Armenian produce.
