Russia may ban migrants from working in hospitals and taxis

Migrants should not work in the social sector or in taxis. This was stated at a press conference at TASS by Sergey Mironov, chairman of the “Just Russia” party.

“Migrants need to be banned from working in social sectors, many regions have already done this. They have no business in education, no business in healthcare, no business transporting our citizens in taxis,” Mironov said.

He noted that migrants often don’t know the Russian language, and foreign taxi drivers “don’t know the city” and violate traffic rules.

The party chairman added that the patent system also needs to be abolished. According to the MP, migrants often don’t work after purchasing a patent. “We need to introduce organized recruitment here,” the politician emphasized.
