After a 13-year break, the Armenian Theater in Moscow has returned to its program William Saroyan’s play ‘Hello Out There!’.

The theater presents the psychological drama to the audience with a new cast and a new production. The protagonist of the play is an emigrant boy who ends up in jail because of a false accusation.

“Today, in this performance, we raise one of the most painful topics: migration. When a person is forced to leave his country, when a person does not find a place and opportunity to live in his homeland, he is doomed to suffer,” Slava Stepanyan, the artistic director of the Armenian Theater in Moscow, told Alpha News.

According to Stepanyan, one of the main messages of the play is love. “Only love can fill a person’s life with meaning.”

Saroyan’s ‘Hello Out There!’ has been staged and screened in many countries by different directors since 1942.
