Shant Sargsyan and Hayk Martirosyan take second and third places at International Chess Tournament in Uzbekistan

Armenian men’s chess team members, GMs Shant Sargsyan and Hayk Martirosyan participated in the Al-Beruniy International Chess Tournament in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Both chess players did not suffer a single defeat in nine rounds but eventually lost half a point to Uzbek GM Mukhiddin Madaminov.

Sargsyan took the second place on tiebreakers, and Martirosyan placed third.
