The International Kyokushin Karate Championship, held in Tbilisi on June 8, was a great success for Armenian athletes. The Armenian National Federation team returned home with 11 gold medals.

The Artsakh Kyokushin Karate Club “Return” participated in the tournament, demonstrating high competitiveness and securing impressive victories.

From July 8-10, Bulgaria will host the annual Kyokushin Karate event, which will include seminars for athletes and coaches, as well as World Cup refereeing courses in both the classic and senshi formats.

This year, Artsakh athletes Narek Petrosyan, Vladimir Taranyan, Marina Nersesyan, and Marianna Sargsyan will participate in both seminars and tournaments as part of the Armenian Federation team, representing the high level of Armenian martial arts.

“Artsakh is us, our goal is to return,” said Armen Petrosyan, co-founder and coach of the Artsakh Kyokushin Karate Federation.

This success marks an important step in strengthening Armenian karate’s presence in international tournaments.
