The authorities are fighting against Armenia in favor of “Western Azerbaijan”: Abovyan

The authorities of the Republic of Armenia are attempting to “steal the people’s votes” by preventing the Prosperous Armenia party (PAP) from crossing the required electoral threshold. This was stated by Arman Abovyan, PAP parliamentary candidate, in a conversation with Alpha News.

“If Prosperous Armenia passes, the authorities will be stripped of their constitutional majority. Consequently, they will be unable to amend the Constitution, unable to appoint their loyalists to key positions, and unable to ratify numerous anti-Armenian documents,” he said.

In Abovyan’s view, the current authorities are fighting against Armenia in favor of “Western Azerbaijan.”

According to him, the processes unfolding today can be seen as “a struggle between Western Azerbaijan and Armenia.”
