The authorities have moved the process to the political field: Aram Orbelyan on the charges against Robert Kocharyan

The authorities resort to the tactics of “biased publicity”, realizing the weakness of the prosecution in the courts. This was stated at a press conference by Aram Orbelyan, a member of the legal team of Robert Kocharyan, the second President of Armenia, speaking about the legal grounds for the criminal charges brought against the second president.

“In the last few days, we have been witnessing the so-called process of public coverage of events. The current government has already shifted this process to the political arena. There is one reason for all this, the “biased public coverage” that takes place in modern developments. Realizing that they will have problems in the courts, they try to convey shocking information so that later, if something goes wrong, they can say that the judge was to blame,” Orbelyan said.
