The Constitutional Court has one mission, which is to record the fact of widespread and organized violations during the elections. Attorney Aram Vardevanyan said this to journalists outside the CC building.
“This is obvious, and it happened in plain sight of everyone: hate speech, abuse of administrative resources, and an absolute lack of independence on the part of the CEC as a whole. The CEC and the CC have serious problems with independence, and finally, it must be noted that one of the Constitutional Court judges is a person who until recently was a key representative of Civil Contract. The situation with the CEC is similar,” the attorney noted.
Asked why the authorities had not approached the Constitutional Court to contest the election results, Vardevanyan stressed that, in his view, they too have information indicating that the alleged large-scale pre-election bribes did not in fact take place.
