During the National Assembly’s discussion of the bill on ratifying the framework strategic agreement between Armenia and the United States on the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), Artur Khachatryan, an MP from the Armenia faction, addressed a question to Ararat Mirzoyan, Foreign Minister of Armenia. He asked where the Meghri issue had come from in the first place, since neither the November 10 document, nor the August 8 document, nor the agreement signed with Marco Rubio states that TRIPP must pass through any section of Syunik.

“Now the question is: where did this topic come from? Do you know where? Azerbaijan demands it, insists on it and says, ‘No, that won’t work.’ Because the issue of Syunik was not raised in any document. This is solely Azerbaijan’s demand,” Khachatryan added.
