The United States is not infringing on Armenia’s sovereignty: Rubio

The United States is not infringing on Armenia’s sovereignty and is not asking it to “not be friends” with other countries, Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated during a hearing before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

“We are not there to infringe on Armenia’s sovereignty, nor are we asking them to not be friends with other countries,” he said.

On May 26, Marco Rubio and Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan signed a framework memorandum on ensuring the supply of critical and rare earth minerals, noting their importance for industry and the defense industry.
