On June 10, the delegation of the Union of Armenians in Russia, led by Ara Abrahamyan, visited the Armenian Apostolic Church Temple Complex in Moscow and met with Archbishop Yezras Nersisyan, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Russia and New Nakhichevan. The delegation expressed support for the Armenian Apostolic Church amid the unprecedented cynical attacks by the Armenian authorities.
The Union of Armenians in Russia is convinced that thanks to the Christian faith and the Church—whose role in Armenian history is immeasurable—Armenians managed to overcome the most difficult historical trials and preserve their identity.
Today, the Armenian Church is the only remaining institution capable of uniting the Armenian people and eliminating societal divisions, mutual hostility, and enmity.
