Political scientist and director of the Center for Political Research in the United States Mikhail Tilman spoke to Alpha News about the protests against Donald Trump’s immigration policy.

“Public unrest in the United States has become a tradition, and the same individuals often participate in these protests. That is, there is a group of professional protesters who come out for compensation and voice what needs to be voiced and resort to destruction. There are a number of organizations whose agenda includes what they call the transformation of America, aiming to make the country more diverse in terms of race, sexual orientation, and gender equality. They need immigrants for this very transformation. After all, it is easier to transform something that is taken from outside than to re-educate those who already live in America. And Trump is fighting this, and the attempt to evict these illegal immigrants has led to unrest. Because immigrants are the future votes of the Democrats. In America, this agenda—the fight against illegal immigration—is very popular, and the majority of the population really supports it. But these protests will eventually be suppressed,” Tilman said.

He further explained that civil conflict in America would only escalate into civil war if divisions emerged within the US armed forces, which has not happened.

“And thank God, because civil war is terrifying. However, civil conflict is already underway,” Tilman emphasized.

When discussing the future of illegal immigrants in the United States, the expert advised them to leave voluntarily.

“My only advice to illegal migrants in the U.S. is to leave the country on their own accord, because there is a risk that if you are found, you will definitely be deported. I would recommend doing this because the majority of American society supports the fight against illegal immigration,” Tilman concluded.
