US welcomes Armenia-Azerbaijan border delimitation agreement

The United States welcomes the border delimitation agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Vedant Patel, US State Department Principal Deputy Spokesperson, said in a press briefing on Wednesday.  

“The Secretary (Antony Blinken – ed.) mentioned this in his tweet, that we welcome the announcement that Armenia and Azerbaijan have agreed upon the 1991 Alma-Ata Declaration as the basis for border delimitation between the two countries. This is an important step towards concluding a durable and dignified peace agreement,” Patel said.
