The comprehensive strategic relationship between Armenia and the United States is stronger today than ever before. Ararat Mirzoyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, stated this at a meeting with Marco Rubio, U.S. Secretary of State.
“We have entered a historically unprecedented phase, given the frequent changes in our bilateral agenda. The most important event was the Washington Peace Summit of August 8, 2026, where peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan was cemented. In addition, important agreements were reached on unblocking transport communications in the region,” Mirzoyan noted.
He emphasized that all agreements are mutually beneficial and open unique opportunities for Armenia.
To note, the parties had previously pre-signed a framework agreement on strategic cooperation under the Trump Road to International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project. A Charter on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Armenia and the United States and a framework memorandum on cooperation in the field of critical minerals and rare resources supply were also signed.
