“We will never forget what Armenia’s occupying forces did to our people”: Aliyev

Ilham Aliyev, president of Azerbaijan, said in a speech at the opening ceremony of the 2026 Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group that they will never forget what the “Armenian occupiers” did to their people and their cities, and will not forget “the destruction of 65 mosques.”

Aliyev said that “Armenians kept pigs and other animals in mosques,” and that “Azerbaijan will never forget this.”
