Speaking with Alpha News, Samvel Lulukyan, a board member of the Central Council of Armenians in Germany, touched upon Nikol Pashinyan’s scandalous statements about the Armenian Genocide and called them dangerous.

“The Central Council of Armenians in Germany and the Armenian Diocese of Germany jointly decided to organize a meeting with key structures and intellectuals to discuss Pashinyan’s important issues and dangerous statements, which are also related to the Diaspora. The statements made in Zurich are theses on the denial of the Armenian Genocide, which Turkey has repeated for decades and stated that it still has to figure out why and how the Genocide happened. Pashinyan asks such questions and thereby pours water on the Turkish propaganda machine, which is completely unacceptable,” he noted.

According to him, the Armenian authorities, led by Pashinyan, are fulfilling Turkey’s preconditions.

“Pashinyan’s statements are dangerous and cause great damage to the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide. The Armenian Foreign Ministry also stated that the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide is not a priority on their agenda. The current authorities act and speak as if this issue does not concern the Republic of Armenia. This is an extremely dangerous phenomenon, which is one of Turkey’s preconditions,” Samvel Lulukyan concluded.
