“What does Armenia get in exchange for TRIPP?”: Vardanyan to Mirzoyan

Kristine Vardanyan, an MP from the Armenia parliamentary faction, addressed a question to Ararat Mirzoyan, Foreign Minister of Armenia, in the National Assembly, noting that the agreement on the TRIPP project details the arrangements reached at the level of the leaders.
“Let me remind you that the most important arrangement was that Azerbaijan is granted unimpeded connectivity through Armenian territory, and in return Armenia receives reciprocal benefits,” the MP said.
Vardanyan asked the minister to point to a document in which Azerbaijan’s obligations are set out in as much detail as Armenia’s.
“This document sets out Armenia’s obligations in detail: back office, front office and ensuring uninterrupted connectivity. I ask you to point to the document in which Azerbaijan’s obligations are set out in the same detail,” the MP said.
Speaking about reciprocal benefits, Mirzoyan suggested looking at the issue more broadly, at the megaregional level. According to him, Armenia will also be connected to third countries through Azerbaijan’s territory and infrastructure.
