Without the Homeland there is no Diaspora, and without the Diaspora there is no Homeland: Armenia’s Independence Day marked in the US

Armenia’s Independence Day was celebrated at Verdugo Park in Glendale, Los Angeles County, California.

During the event, the importance of preserving and strengthening ties between Armenia and the diaspora was emphasized.

“The Diaspora needs the Homeland. Without the Homeland there is no Diaspora, and without the Diaspora there is no Homeland. Just as a mother is connected to the child in her womb, so is the Homeland connected to the Diaspora. We must preserve this connection, defend it, and always cooperate,” one of the event’s participants told Alpha News.
