Woman fired from job over photo with Narek Karapetyan

Andranik Gevorgyan, member of parliament from the Strong Armenia faction, has published a video address in response to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s appeal to candidates and voters who are being pressured during the local self-government elections.

Gevorgyan publicly named people who, according to him, were pressured or deprived of their jobs because of their political views.

Among them are Serine Manukyan, a kindergarten teacher at the Amalia Karapetyan kindergarten in Stepanavan; Manushak Lalazaryan, a nurse with 38 years of experience at the Stepanavan polyclinic; and Olga Sahakyan, a nurse at the same polyclinic.

According to the MP, Serine Manukyan was dismissed because of a photo, while the other two health workers were dismissed because of their political views or because of pressure from management aimed at forcing them to resign.
