Yervand Mkrtchyan and Gor Hovakimyan win medals at international athletics tournament in Iran

Armenian athletes Yervand Mkrtchyan and Gor Hovakimyan took part in the 4th International Imam Reza Cup Tournament in Mashhad, Iran.

Mkrtchyan claimed a gold medal in the 1,500-meter race with a time of 3:48.17. He also secured second place in the 5,000-meter race, finishing with a time of 14:40.12.

Hovakimyan earned two silver medals, excelling in the triple jump with a distance of 15.72 meters and the long jump with a distance of 7.41 meters.

Athletes from nine countries participated in the tournament.
