“You spread lies, apologize to Narek Karapetyan”: Vardevanyan to Civil Contract MPs

The Strong Armenia faction takes a positive stance on the draft under discussion, and the Republic of Armenia must pursue a clear and effective foreign policy that puts the interests of Armenia and its citizens first, Aram Vardevanyan, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, said during a session of parliament.

“We have stated our position on the specific issue under discussion. The Strong Armenia faction and the Strong Armenia alliance of parties have expressed a clear position on foreign policy. The Republic of Armenia must pursue a precise, effective foreign policy that serves the interests of its citizens and treats Armenia as the priority,” he said.

According to Vardevanyan, there are no problems with the document itself, but it is unacceptable for participants in the debate to stray from the main topic and, as he put it, spread “outright lies.”

Vardevanyan also commented on statements regarding Narek Karapetyan’s citizenship, calling on lawmakers from the ruling party to apologize to him.
