Zakharova described the tactics of the Armenian authorities as frankly indecent

Yerevan has not yet deemed it necessary to coordinate its European integration aspirations with its EAEU partners, Maria Zakharova, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, said during a briefing.

“Yerevan has not yet deemed it necessary to coordinate its European integration aspirations with its EAEU partners,” she said.

According to Zakharova, Armenia’s intentions to join the EU exposé “fundamental contradictions” that stem from the incompatibility of the EU and EAEU regulatory and legal frameworks.

Yerevan is demonstratively trying to “simultaneously benefit from Eurasian integration and move towards the European Union,” Zakharova emphasized.

“Such tactics by the Armenian authorities look frankly indecent,” the diplomat noted.
