Belarus’ CEC officially declares Lukashenko’s victory in presidential election

Belarus’ Central Election Commission (CEC) has asserted Alexander Lukashenko’s victory in the presidential election held on January 26.
According to the CEC, Lukashenko received 86.82% of the votes. He is followed by Sergei Syrankov, who received 3.21%, and Oleg Gaidukevich comes third with 2.02%. 3.60% of those who took part in the voting voted against all candidates. A total of 85.69% of about 6.9 million eligible voters participated in the voting.
