The signing of a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan will help bring stability to the region, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.
“We have repeatedly said at various levels that we would welcome the early signing of a peace agreement. It is the signing of such an agreement that will be a very important factor for predictability, stability and peace in the region. We fully support this process,” Peskov told reporters when asked how the Kremlin assesses the fact that the negotiation process in Baku and Yerevan has come as close as possible to signing an agreement.
It should be noted that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met in Abu Dhabi today.
