Vache Hovakimyan crowned European U16 Rapid Chess Champion

Armenia’s Vache Hovakimyan has claimed the title of European U16 Rapid Chess Champion.
The Armenian chess player scored 7.5 out of 9 possible points to secure the first place, the Armenian Chess Federation reported on Facebook.
In the U14 category, another Armenian chess player, Manvel Arakelyan, earned the bronze medal, scoring 7 out of 9 possible points.
The European Junior Rapid Chess Championship is being held from June 4 to 8 in Thessaloniki, Greece.
