Aliyev skips informal CIS summit in St. Petersburg

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will not attend the informal summit of CIS leaders in St. Petersburg, Russia.

Aliyev’s administration cited a “tight work schedule” as a reason, noting that in October Aliyev took part in the CIS Council of Heads of State session in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. They emphasized that the bilateral and multilateral meetings held during that session were “productive.”
