Samvel Karapetyan diagnosed with coronavirus; medical care deliberately withheld – Aram Vardevanyan

Lawyer Aram Vardevanyan made a statement addressing the situation surrounding philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan and the deterioration of his health.

According to the lawyer, Karapetyan, being a national benefactor and the person who has carried out the greatest charitable works for the Republic of Armenia, has always acted in the interest of the state. “The processes taking place against him over the past seven months are nothing but revenge and a malicious form of political persecution,” Vardevanyan said.

He emphasized that Karapetyan had no prior health issues. “The conditions in the penitentiary have led to serious illnesses. He has been diagnosed with coronavirus. This is solely the result of deliberate actions,” Vardevanyan added.
