Rubio and Bayramov discuss normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations and confidence-building measures

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a phone conversation to discuss the process of normalizing Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.

According to Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry, Bayramov conveyed Baku’s position regarding the prospects for normalization and a peaceful settlement between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“The steps taken within the normalization process, as well as confidence-building measures, were positively assessed. The importance of ongoing work to implement the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) was also emphasized.”
