Georgian Prime Minister comments on US Vice President’s visit to Armenia and Azerbaijan

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze responded to a journalist’s question about why the US Vice President is visiting Yerevan and Baku but not Tbilisi, Sputnik Georgia reports.

“As is known, the US Vice President’s visit is specifically focused on the so‑called TRIPP route (the Zangezur Corridor). Therefore, it is logical that the destinations of the visit are those two countries. What more is there to comment on?” he said.

At the same time, Kobakhidze noted that Georgia is ready to resume its strategic partnership with the United States and is patiently awaiting concrete steps from Washington.
