The Criminal Court of Appeal granted the lawyers’ motion to apply a preventive measure and substituted Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan’s detention with house arrest, prohibiting him from leaving his home.

During this period, the archbishop is forbidden to receive guests, make phone calls, or engage in correspondence. These restrictions do not apply to close relatives, his legal defenders, one clergyman from the Shirak Diocese, and one employee from the administrative and economic department.
