Turkey accelerates work on opening border checkpoint with Armenia

Turkey has stepped up efforts to open a checkpoint on the border with Armenia, according to Turkish media reports.

It is noted that the governor of Iğdır, Fırat Taşolar, personally inspected the reconstruction and modernization works at the Alican border crossing (the “Margara” checkpoint on the Armenian side).

Accompanied by a technical team, he examined the checkpoint’s buildings and routes along the border, emphasizing that the work is planned to be completed in a short time.
