During a survey in Syunik, residents of the region voiced strong disapproval of the Prime Minister’s behavior and his interference in Church affairs.

According to citizens, the Prime Minister is overstepping the boundaries of his authority.

Respondents emphasized that the Armenian Apostolic Church and the state are separate institutions, and the authorities should not interfere in church affairs or the activities of the Catholicos of All Armenians.

“Everyone should focus on their own responsibilities: politicians on politics, clergy on spiritual service,” one respondent said.

The overwhelming majority of those surveyed gave a negative assessment of Prime Minister Pashinyan’s approach to issuing instructions on various matters.

“The Church and the state are different institutions. Each has its own role, and a politician should not try to replace a spiritual leader,” noted one of the Syunik residents.
